In the Cloud Faxing Has Made Traditional Fax Machines Obsolete

In the cloud faxing has become the preferred method to send and receive faxes. With the high cost of maintaining and upgrading traditional fax machines, many companies are looking for in the cloud technology to help them with their incoming and outgoing faxes. Fortunately, the technology is readily available and inexpensive. So much so, that there are millions of people and businesses already using in the cloud faxing at the present time.

In the cloud faxing, also know as virtual or computer fax, simply uses email to enable you to send and receive faxes from your computer, laptop or mobile device. There are no phone lines, no paper, no ink and no fax machine. The entire process is handled "in the cloud" and in the virtual online world.

When you sign up for an online account you will receive a toll free fax number (or you can transfer your existing fax number over to the service -- that's called "porting.") When someone sends you a fax to that number, the document is converted to a PDF file and sent to you as an email attachment. You can then forward it, store it to your hard drive, or print it out as you desire.

There are several major benefits to cloud faxing. In summary:

Economics: The cost of cloud faxing is substantially less than traditional faxing and you can sign up for the service on a monthly basis. Traditional faxing, including supplies and phone lines, costs over $400 a year. Cloud faxing can provide you the same service for less than a third of that cost. Moreover, maintaining and upgrading fax servers in larger organizations is very expensive. Those costs can be eliminated. Better yet, there are no capital costs to get started. Remember, there's no hardware -- it's in the cloud! There is no software to buy either.

Automatic Backups and Log: You'll never lose an important fax again when you cloud fax. In the cloud faxing never loses faxes. You can always log into your secured online (in the cloud) account and retrieve whatever documents you're looking for.

Scalable: You can be a COO of a large enterprise, or an owner of a micro-enterprise, it doesn't matter. Whether you transmit thousands of faxes a day, or just a few a month, in the cloud faxing is scalable and can be easily programmed to whatever needs you have. In addition, you can increase or decrease your requirements on a monthly basis and never have to worry about paying for unused capabilities. In the past, faxing was an overhead expense. Today, it's a variable expense and can adapt to your needs.

Faxing is still an important communications functionality that all businesses need. In fact, faxing is a multi-billion industry and in the cloud faxing constitutes about $2 Billion every year. It's not going away any time soon.
